Position
As part of LVMH / Moët Hennessy, The Glenmorangie Company crafts, distributes and markets two of Scotland’s most acclaimed single malt whiskies.
Glenmorangie is famed as the leading Highland single malt, renowned for its smooth, complex, and accessible taste, its mastery of wood in cask maturation, and its industry‑leading whisky innovation.
Ardbeg is the ultimate Islay whisky and the smokiest of all Scotland’s single malts – and is also famed for its unorthodox, envied, and untamed brand.
This 12‑month Fixed Term Contract is for an Accounts Assistant whose primary responsibility will be to manage the Accounts Payable process and assist with month‑end accounting tasks for Glenmorangie House and its staff shop.
- Job Responsibilities
- Daily processing of supplier invoices in Verify – ensuring all invoices have been scanned.
- Work with all departments to ensure all invoices in workflows are coded timely, posting of invoices into SAP.
- Respond and deal with supplier queries.
- Management of supplier payments runs – including intercompany payments.
- Act as cover for Assistant Accountant to prepare manual payments.
- Accounts Payable checks – Twice a month after payment runs to check we have the latest data on suppliers.
- Manage monthly mobile telephone invoice – detailing & reporting spend by department.
- Manage coding of Tusker invoices and to send for approval.
- Manage and follow up all debit balances on purchase ledger.
- Clearing old Purchase Orders (PO) not receipted. Working with owners of PO.
- Management of petty cash for sites – check and record.
- Month end tasks: Glenmorangie House month end, staff shop month end, reconcile car scheme invoices to payroll deduction and monthly travel costs accrual provided by travel agent.
- Ad‑hoc requests.
- Technical Skills & Experience Required
- HNC in Accounting or AAT Certificate (Association of Accounting Technicians).
- Knowledge of double entry book‑keeping.
- Experience in SAP desired.
- Good Excel skill.
- Numerate, accurate, logical.
- Attention to detail.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to manage workload, excellent time management.
