The predicted salary is between 26830 - 36830 £ per year.

We are currently seeking a warm, welcoming and confident Host to join our Spence restaurant team. The on target earning potential for this role is £36,830 per annum based on a 39 hour contract - comprising a base salary of £26,830, plus a qualified estimate of £10,000 in gratuities and service charge.

Here’s a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • You’ll be the warm and welcoming face of The Spence, building strong relationships with members and guests alike.
  • Greeting, seating and distributing menus to guests with charm and attentiveness.
  • You’ll manage the seating chart, waiting list and continuously communicate with your Spence team.
  • You’ll take pride in all tasks you complete, being an essential member of the Spence service team ensuring we’re setup for success.
  • Attending to any guest queries and enquiries in a caring and helpful manner, and with a commitment to dealing with their issues in a positive way.
  • You’ll maintain the highest standards of service, space preparation and presentation throughout the restaurant.
  • Playing a significant part in making sure the restaurant operation runs without a hitch, and our service exceeds expectation.
  • Have an excellent knowledge of the wider estate and the facilities available to our guests.
  • Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way.

  • Having had experience within a luxury hospitality environment would be ideal, however having a great attitude is essential.
  • Your perspective and approach are always fresh; no matter how many times an issue has been presented to you, to your guest it’s the first time.
  • You’ll be working flexibly during the week and weekends across both lunch and dinner service.
  • A keen eye for detail, an organised approach and willingness to exceed guest expectation.

  • You have a high level of resilience and the ability to deal with fast-paced environments is essential.
  • You’re a sociable person – both towards the guests you’re looking after and your fellow colleagues.

  • You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner.
