The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 £ per hour.

We are currently seeking a proactive, adaptable and self-motivated Kitchen Porter to join our Culinary team. The on target earning potential for this role is £32,897 per annum, comprising a base salary of £25,897, plus a qualified estimate of £7,000 in gratuities and service charge.

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • Supporting our chefs, and their brigades, you’ll ensure all cleaning routines are completed efficiently and professionally throughout our kitchens; our standards are sky high and our cleaning schedules are tight.
  • You’ll be responsible for making sure all crockery, cutlery and glassware are pristine before reaching our guests, with outstanding attention to detail you’ll absolutely understand the part you play in making sure every element of our service is 5 star.
  • Storing all equipment; crockery, glassware, cutlery in each outlet accurately and safely; supremely organised, you’ll make sure our teams can always find what they need, when they need it.
  • Ensuring the safe removal, segregation and storage of all recycling materials.
  • Recording all deliveries, food temperatures and recording any high risk foods that have been delivered, ensuring all items are correctly stored.
  • Building strong working relationships with our teams across the Townhouse, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making our service 5 star in every way.
  • Interacting with our members and guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way.

The kind of person we're looking for:

  • Ideally, you already have a good general knowledge of kitchens within Hospitality and back of house operations and you’re also experienced in food hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Used to work in fast paced settings, you work well under pressure and thrive on challenge.
  • Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand.
  • You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner.
  • A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail.

Gratuities (tips) and service charge (an additional charge added to our room rates and services across the hotel that is passed directly to our employees) are paid on a pro-rata basis regardless of your role. It is estimated that in 2026, our full-time employees can expect to receive around £7,000 in addition to their annual salary.
