We are currently seeking a conscientious and diligent Public Area Assistant to join our Housekeeping team, looking after our public areas. The on target earning potential for this role is ÂŁ34,702 per annum based on a 39 hour contract - comprising a base salary of ÂŁ27,702, plus a qualified estimate of ÂŁ7,000 in gratuities and service charge.

  • Consistently delivering and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel, including deep cleaning exercises.
  • Taking huge pride in ensuring the cleanliness, presentation and hygiene of all the public areas, reception and service areas are always achieved.
  • Restocking and replacing items in public areas and bathrooms, making sure our guests have everything they need when visiting or in advance of their stay.
  • Servicing bathrooms by washing and emptying bins; cleaning all surfaces and floors; showers, baths, basins, bidets, and toilets to the highest standard.
  • Vacuuming bathrooms, bedroom floors, corridors, stairs, and lifts to remove all debris; checking the vacuum cleaner each week; using the correct cleaning materials for each particular task.
  • Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way.

  • Ideally, you'll have previous experience within a similar role though full training is offered.
  • Excellent personal presentation, hygiene and grooming standards are all second nature to you.
  • You’ll be required to complete standard forms to record events on a regular basis and interact with our guests so a strong grasp of English language, both written and spoken, are essential.
  • Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you’re passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand.
  • You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner.
  • A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you’re well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail.
