We are currently seeking an experienced, highly organised and professional Kitchen Porter Supervisor - Nights to join our Food & Beverage Support Services team. The on target earning potential for this role is ÂŁ36,161 per annum based on a 37.5 hour contract, comprising a base salary of ÂŁ31,161, plus a qualified estimate of ÂŁ5,000 in gratuities and service charge.

Here’s a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • Working alongside and supervising the Kitchen Porter night team to ensure all of our business objectives are delivered to the highest standard and within the required time frames.
  • Supporting our chefs and their brigades, ensuring your team of Kitchen Porters complete all cleaning routines efficiently and professionally throughout our kitchens on a nightly basis; our standards are sky high and our cleaning schedules are tight.
  • Leading from the front, responsible for making sure all crockery, cutlery and glassware are pristine before reaching our guests, whilst also stored accurately and safely in each outlet.
  • Highly organised and with outstanding attention to detail, ensuring our teams can always find what they need, when they need it.
  • Instilling in your team a clear understanding of the part you all play in making sure every element of our service is of the highest standard.
  • Keeping all required check lists and work sheets in order during your shift.
  • Allocating the daily tasks per shift, with an understanding of the daily business requirements.
  • Ensuring the safe removal, segregation and storage of all recycling materials.
  • Building strong working relationships with our teams across the estate, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way.

The kind of person we’re looking for:

  • Ideally, already established in a similar role, with outstanding knowledge of kitchens within hospitality and back of house operations; also possessing outstanding experience in food hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
  • Keen to be part of a team and to guide others and show them your skills.
  • Used to working in fast paced settings, working extremely well under pressure and thriving on a challenge.
  • Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand.
  • Having a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner.
  • A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail.
