We are seeking a dedicated Retail festive team who share our commitment to excellence and love for creating unforgettable guest experiences, to join us for a two-week period. The festive season awakens something truly magical at Gleneagles. This year, our enchanting Scottish folklore narrative unfolds as the hotel transforms into a mystical forest, welcoming families and cherished guests to The Glorious Playground for an indulgent and unforgettable escape.

As we proudly celebrate a new century at Gleneagles, we continue creating magic for our guests, honouring our reputation as one of the world's most distinguished hotels, where timeless Scottish hospitality meets contemporary elegance. Our Retail team deliver an exceptional service, and we’re looking to attract dedicated Festive Retail Assistants to work alongside our team for an eight-week period from 9th November 2026 to 3rd January 2027, working from 9.30am to 6pm.

The retail arcade runs through the heart of the hotel, with 9 shops and a pop-up Christmas area. You’ll be supporting the team selling hampers and vouchers to our guests whilst also providing a wonderful Festive wrapping service. With pieces sourced from Europe and beyond, the retail arcade is truly a unique Christmas shopping destination. This is your chance to be a part of that story.

The on target earning potential for this role is £15.27 per hour - comprising a base hourly rate of £12.77, plus a qualified estimate of £2.50 per hour in gratuities and service charge.

  • Taking pride in presenting our exquisite Gleneagles Festive Hampers, ensuring each one is perfectly arranged and beautifully displayed on our dedicated Festive stand.
  • Bringing creativity and attention to detail, assisting with the intricate wrapping and packaging of purchases from across our nine distinctive boutiques.
  • As a flexible Sales Assistant, supporting your colleagues and stepping into any of our boutiques as needed, seamlessly adapting to the flow of the business.
  • Demonstrating your genuine passion for retail, deepening your product knowledge and sharing your enthusiasm with our guests, proactively guiding them and responding to all enquiries with warmth and professionalism.
  • Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us 5 star in every way.
