We are currently seeking an Event Coordinator to join our Meetings & Events Sales Team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue a role in Sales or Events at Gleneagles. The on-target earning potential for this role is ÂŁ32,844 per annum based on a 39-hour contract, comprising a base salary of ÂŁ27,844, plus a qualified estimate of ÂŁ5,000 in gratuities and service charge.

Here’s a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • Working together with the Regional Sales and Meetings & Events Sales Team, you’ll manage pieces of business to start to build and plan guest and client events, weddings, parties etc.
  • Communicating directly with our guests and clients, preparing a tailored event whilst upselling all of our Gleneagles offerings and our exciting event spaces whilst exceeding our clients’ expectations.
  • Planning and hosting show rounds, menu tastings etc. with our clients to ensure they appreciate the whole Gleneagles experience, ensuring they are surprised and delighted along the way.
  • Building strong client relationships to grow repeat business.
  • Using our Sales & Catering system to manage all the bookings and accounts as well as creating bespoke event schedules for each event.
  • Collaborating with your colleagues across the estate to ensure each event is seamless and tailored precisely to client’s needs.
  • Keeping up to date and always experiencing new products across our Glorious Playground.
  • Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way.

  • You’re already established in a similar role, ideally with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in luxury hotel Events and an outstanding record of success.
  • Self-motivated and results driven, you have sharp and supremely professional negotiation skills.
  • Flexibility, adapting to changing demands and timescales, as well as using your initiative, are just some of your key skills.
  • Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you’re passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand.
  • You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner.
  • A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you’re well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail.
