We are currently seeking a Content & Editorial Executive, a creative with a keen eye for detail and a love of writing, to join our Brand & Marketing Team. At Gleneagles, we’re preparing to launch a new and thoughtfully curated digital extension of our Retail Arcade, and we are looking for a Content & Editorial Executive to bring it to life and to market it across our creative channels. This is a unique opportunity to shape and define a brand-new Instagram presence from the ground up. Designed to celebrate the individuality of each of our physical boutiques while anchoring them within the unmistakable elegance of Gleneagles style, this channel will offer a refined, editorial lens into our retail world. We’re seeking someone with a natural eye for style and storytelling: someone who understands the nuances of luxury, fashion and visual identity, and who can translate that into compelling, considered content in a variety of formats. While half of your time will be spent across the retail output, the other half of this role will also involve supporting the wider team across more general content and editorial outputs.

One of the world’s most iconic luxury hotels and sporting estates, Gleneagles has been making memories for a century. Crowned ‘Employer of the Year’ at the 2024 Cateys and Number One Resort in the UK & Ireland by readers of the Travel + Leisure for their 2025 World’s Best Awards, everything we do is about surpassing expectations and creating unrivalled adventures for our guests.

We’re devoted to making our people feel as valued as our guests. In this way, we strive to support the whole ‘you’ – not just the professional part but the personal part too. People join our team for all sorts of reasons. Some work here permanently to develop a career, some work seasonally, while others have a schedule to fit around their personal commitments. However long you plan to stay with us and whatever hours you’d prefer to work, we’re open to flexible working requests and offer hours, shift patterns and contract types to suit everyone. Location: Auchterarder, just off the A9. Gleneagles is also within easy reach of a number of Scottish towns and cities: Edinburgh City Centre (1hr), Glasgow or Dundee (50mins), Stirling and Perth (25mins).

Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • Retail Content: Launching and owning our new retail social Instagram account, driving key KPIs including follower growth and increased online shop sales.
  • Planning and executing monthly retail photo and video shoots.
  • Developing mood boards and creative direction for all content.
  • Styling retail products and scenes with a strong editorial sensibility.
  • Capturing a mix of film photography and digital imagery with photographers.
  • Creating and strategically scheduling engaging, high-quality social content across channels.
  • Producing self-shot, reactive, ‘on-the-fly’ content to keep the channel dynamic.
  • Managing our retail website pages to ensure each one is current, accurate and reflective of the evolving boutique offering.
  • Managing a dedicated budget, including tracking spend and raising POs.
  • Gleneagles Brand & Marketing Team Support: Sourcing and curating props to elevate the visual storytelling of wider Gleneagles shoots.
  • Managing community engagement across the main Gleneagles social channels.
  • Supporting on copy and content creation for brand events.
  • Helping to coordinate wider Gleneagles shoot schedules to ensure smooth production from planning through to delivery.
  • Providing copywriting and subbing support across campaigns, new launches, product descriptions and editorial features as required.
  • Updating the copy and imagery across our website to keep it up-to-date and reflective of our ever-growing offering.
  • Producing regular pages for the bi-annual Gleneagles newspaper.
  • Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way.

The kind of person we're looking for:

  • You have 2-4 years of experience working across content and/or editorial, with an excellent command of English and enjoy copywriting social captions, website landing pages, blogs and editorial copy.
  • With a strong background in photography and content creation, you’re both comfortable to self-shoot and select, brief, manage and also direct photographers and videographers from pre- to post-production.
  • You have a refined eye for style, branding and visual storytelling, with a strong understanding of how to grow and maintain a premium Instagram presence.
  • Creative, proactive and highly organised, you can bring ideas to life through engaging content while managing deadlines, budgets and independent projects.
  • Experienced across platforms such as Trello, Later, Canva and Google Analytics, you always take a collaborative approach with a constant flow of fresh ideas.
  • Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand.
  • You have a positive ‘can do’ attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner.
  • A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual.
  • You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way.
