We are currently seeking an efficient, versatile and proactive Chef to join our Tryst café team. Situated within Glenmor, our seasonal ownership village, The Tryst offers a simple menu of light lunches and early evening meals to our guests daily. Glenmor, with its own lochans, woodland walks and cosy café, is a secluded rural getaway.

The on target earning potential for this role is £16.15 per hour - comprising a base hourly rate of £13.65, plus a qualified estimate of £2.50 per hour in gratuities and service charge. As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards. The working pattern for this role is Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 11.30am to 9pm.

Here’s a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

  • You’ll be working independently, cooking and presenting food to order, quickly and capably, and always at the highest standard.
  • Working closely with your front of house colleagues, supporting them with the provision of hot and cold drinks, responding swiftly and professionally to our guests.
  • Ensuring hygiene throughout the kitchen is impeccable, including our cutlery, crockery and glassware.
  • Taking pride in ensuring that all of guest requirements are met, you’ll aim to continually exceed their expectations.
  • Planning and preparing for the forthcoming service and next day; you’ll also order food from our Store and use Procure wizard, we’ll provide you with full training!
  • Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way.

  • You love to cook and ideally you have great experience in a similar role; you have also already secured a Food Hygiene qualification and completed allergen training.

  • Confident and assured working alone, you also thrive working with others.
