The main purpose will be to accelerate the growth of revenues for the business. They will own sales strategies and implementation and be crucial in the success of Jones Food Company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals
  • Manage key customer relationships and close strategic opportunities
  • Forecast sales, revenue and budgeting in line with company objectives
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics
  • Report on sales results to senior management regularly
  • Propose key product innovations and renovations to ensure we have a portfolio that is relevant for our customers
  • Collaborate with marketing to identify and reach out to potential clients
  • Lead, motivate and mentor a high‑performing sales team
Candidate requirements
  • Proven track record as a successful Business Development Executive/Manager or in a similar role within the food industry (preferably fresh produce).
  • Strong strategic mindset to identify long‑term goals, devise effective business development strategies, and make informed decisions that align with the company’s vision.
  • In‑depth understanding of the fresh produce sector, encompassing key players, market dynamics and regulatory landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills: data analysis and budget management.
  • Experience managing P&L.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to optimise resource allocation and prioritise tasks in order to drive productivity.
  • Hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days at site required; required to travel to customers.
