Glasgow School of Art (GSA) is seeking a creative Painting Technician to help students bring their ideas to life.

About the Role
As a Painting Technician you will:
- Support and Advise: Train and guide students in a full range of paint and surface preparation, helping them with both creative and technical
challenges.
Foster Inclusion: Help create a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive community resource that is responsive to student needs.
Become part of a supportive and creative team.
About You

You may have:
A qualification at QCF Level 5 (or equivalent) in a related area, or
Significant relevant work experience across fine art disciplines in a professional or educational setting
Significant knowledge of traditional and contemporary painting, surface and presentation techniques, including sustainable approaches
Experience in safely using, maintaining, and managing a range of studio equipment and managing paint related waste
Be able to understand a wide range of student projects that will push the field in unconventional directions
You do not need to have previous experience working in education to apply. If you are passionate about sharing your skills and supporting others, we encourage you to apply—even if you do not meet every requirement listed.
