The Learning and Teaching Team are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and self-motivated students to work with us on Culture and Spaces for Learning, an institution-wide enhancement project exploring how the cultures, practices and spaces of GSA shape learning and the student experience.
The project is moving from inquiry into action, with a focus on testing ideas, supporting local innovation and learning from changes to spaces and practices across GSA. Current areas of work include navigation and thresholds, belonging and participation, and the evaluation of learning spaces and practices.
As a Student Consultant, you will be an integral part of the project team, drawing on your expertise and experience as a learner and working in partnership with staff and students to contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of this work. This may include gathering and interpreting student perspectives, exploring how students experience and navigate GSA’s spaces and thresholds, contributing to work around belonging and participation, supporting Innovation Pilots, and helping us understand what is changing, what is working and what we can learn from it.
The successful candidate will have current experience studying at the Glasgow School of Art; have supported projects/research activities; undertaken desk-based research and consultation work, and have experience of report writing and presenting.
This role is a 0.2 FTE (7 hours per week) fixed term. Working hours are to be agreed with the line manager at the appointment.
