Secondment: Fixed term - 6 months
We are inviting expressions of interest from current GSA staff for an internal secondment opportunity as Executive Support Officer, working within the Directorate and providing support to the Director & Principal and Senior Leadership Group (SLG).
This role offers an opportunity to work closely with senior colleagues across GSA and gain experience across a broad range of institutional priorities.
The Executive Support Officer will provide high-quality communication, research and coordination support to the Director & Principal and SLG. A key focus of the role will be researching and distilling information and producing clear, concise briefings, reports, correspondence and other written materials for senior audiences.
The role will also support the effective operation of SLG and its Sub-Groups, including preparation and coordination of meeting documentation, minute-taking, action tracking and coordinating information and activity across relevant areas of GSA.
We are particularly interested in hearing from colleagues who can demonstrate strong written communication, research and analytical skills, excellent organisation and attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a range of colleagues and stakeholders. The role requires professionalism, discretion and sound judgement when working with senior colleagues and sensitive information.
This could be a valuable development opportunity for a colleague interested in gaining broader institutional experience and developing their knowledge of senior-level decision-making, governance, policy and the wider higher education environment.
