Do you want to be part of a team that makes a difference to homeless and vulnerable families? We are looking for Relief Workers to cover annual leave and sick leave, at Rothesay Court and Catherine Court. The Relief Worker role has a zero hour contract, and is required to cover the positions of Evening & Weekend Support Practitioner and Night Support Worker as needed.
Evening & Weekend Support Practitioner Overview: You will welcome any new admissions who arrive during your shift. You will encourage independence whilst providing background support and support with routines and life skills.
Night Support Worker Overview: You will provide a warm, friendly and responsive overnight service with responsibility for maintaining the safety, wellbeing and security of all service users and the building overnight. Your main duties will involve reception cover; health and safety checks of the building, security of the building, including monitoring those entering or leaving the building. You will offer practical advice to service users, respond to emergencies and refer to other agencies where necessary.
You will need:
- To act as a positive role model to others
- To be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- To have excellent communication skills
- To have excellent recordkeeping
- Knowledge of homelessness issues
- An NVQ Level II in a relevant area
Hours of work: zero hour contract
Location: Rothesay Court, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent
