The Client is seeking an experienced and target-focused Sales Consultant to strengthen its presence across the East Midlands. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with a solid background in fire and security solutions who enjoys building strong client relationships and delivering technically sound proposals.
The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for developing both new and existing business opportunities within your region. You will manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting through to proposal submission and post-installation follow-up, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with clients
- Proactively identifying and pursuing new business through networking, referrals, and both warm and cold outreach
- Carrying out site visits and surveys to understand client requirements
- Preparing bespoke quotations and solution proposals
- Presenting solutions clearly and professionally to demonstrate value
- Keeping accurate records of opportunities and activity within the CRM system
- Following up after project completion to maintain client satisfaction
- Keeping up to date with industry developments, standards, and product updates
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and management to achieve team objectives
Requirements
To be considered, you will have:
- At least two years’ experience in a comparable fire and security sales role, with evidence of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- A strong understanding of system design within the sector
- Familiarity with products such as Hikvision, Paxton, Advanced, Pyronix, and Galaxy
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and account management skills
- Confidence, initiative, and a customer-first approach
- East Midlands base with willingness to travel to client sites
- A full UK driving licence
