An exciting opportunity is available for Electrical Engineers to join a growing building services consultancy, with positions open across Plymouth, Exeter, Cardiff and Cambridge. These roles offer exposure to a wide range of technically diverse projects including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, science & research, industrial and public-sector developments.
You will contribute to the design and delivery of coordinated electrical engineering solutions, working as part of multidisciplinary teams alongside mechanical, sustainability and architectural professionals. The position offers strong professional development, project ownership and progression within a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed and coordinated electrical building services designs across all project stages
- Produce technical calculations, specifications, schedules, drawings and engineering reports
- Utilise digital engineering software including Revit/BIM, Dialux, Relux and Electrical OM
- Deliver defined work packages or smaller projects with minimal supervision
- Attend client meetings, design team workshops and site inspections
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants and contractors to ensure integrated design solutions
- Interpret design briefs and ensure compliance with UK regulations and industry standards
- Support feasibility studies, concept design and technical due diligence where required
- Maintain quality, accuracy and efficiency across all technical outputs
- Manage personal workload and meet project deadlines
- Contribute to innovation, digital design improvements and process development
- Support knowledge sharing and informal mentoring of junior engineers where appropriate

- Proficiency in Revit/BIM and lighting calculation software such as Dialux or Relux
- Familiarity with UK building regulations and technical standards
- Ability to produce coordinated design documentation and technical reports
- Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
