We are supporting a UK Client seeking Electrical Engineers to join growing engineering teams across Plymouth, Exeter, Cardiff, and Cambridge. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of electrical engineering solutions for a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK.
Successful candidates will work within multidisciplinary design teams, supporting projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, education, defence, research facilities, and industrial developments.
This position is well suited to engineers who want to expand their technical capabilities while delivering high-quality building services design in a collaborative professional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Produce coordinated and efficient electrical engineering designs across multiple project stages.
- Prepare technical calculations, specifications, drawings, schedules, and reports.
- Use industry-standard design software including Revit/BIM, Dialux, Relux, and Electrical OM.
- Participate in client meetings, design team meetings, workshops, and site inspections.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure coordinated design delivery.
- Ensure designs comply with UK regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Manage assigned workstreams while meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
- Contribute to technical innovation, digital design processes, and continuous improvement.
- Provide informal support and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and early-career team members.
- Experience working as an Electrical Engineer within building services or a related design environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems.
- Proficiency with BIM/Revit, Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM, or similar engineering design tools.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary project environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience working on commercial, healthcare, education, or infrastructure projects.
- Interest in mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development.
