A unique opportunity to take ownership of a luxury country estate in Essex, combining event sales, operations, and on-site management, with strong earning potential with competitive annual wage + commission/bonus for new client bookings. The Estate Greenstead Hall is a private country estate in Essex offering luxury accommodation, exclusive-use event space, and premium experiences for private celebrations, corporate retreats, and weddings.

We are seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Estate & Events Manager to take ownership of the estate's day-to-day operations, client experience, and revenue generation. This is a full-time, hybrid role based at the estate in Halstead, Essex, suited to someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is confident managing both operations and client-facing sales. We would expect you to be onsite in your own brilliant modern onsite offices for a minimum of 3-4 days a week.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to run a growing luxury venue, combining:

You will be responsible for ensuring the estate runs smoothly while also managing enquiries, conducting viewings, and converting bookings.

Key Responsibilities

Estate & Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the estate
  • Manage booking in housekeeping, maintenance, and contractors
  • Ensure the property is consistently presented to a high standard

Sales & Viewings

  • Manage inbound enquiries across events and stays
  • Conduct viewings and convert bookings
  • Prepare and present quotes and contracts
  • Upsell our catering and experience days

Event Delivery

  • Oversee events on-site
  • Coordinate staff, suppliers, and catering
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients

Administration

  • Manage bookings, calendars, contracts, and payments
  • Coordinate logistics across all aspects of the estate

Content Support

  • Capture photo and video content during events, set ups and stays
  • Share content with an external social media contractor for them to manage our social media pages

Commercial Growth

  • Identify opportunities to increase bookings and revenue
  • Support pricing strategies and package development

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in hospitality, events, weddings or venue management
  • Is confident managing clients and running viewings
  • Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Is commercially aware and comfortable discussing pricing
  • Is proactive, hands-on, and takes ownership

Additional Information
