The George Pig Practice is looking for a new graduate interested in production animal medicine to join its six-strong vet team from September. Our pig farming clients are diverse, ranging from large integrated, multi-site operations through traditional family farms, to smallholders.

Approximately 50% of the sow herds we service are outdoors. We offer a comprehensive range of first-opinion services encompassing pig health, welfare and production, farm assurance, practical skills and training. All clinical and data analysis tools are available, including an in-house laboratory. You will have responsibility for carrying out diagnostic investigations as well as collating and interpreting results for clients. You will gain confidence in farm assurance visits, production and economic discussions, as well as disease investigations and epidemiology. You will be supported in your development via a structured new graduate programme provided by our team of experienced vets. This is a fixed twelve-month contract with the option for a permanent post thereafter. Come and join our small friendly pig practice team, part of a large independent mixed practice, based in Malmesbury, on the edge of the Cotswolds - a beautiful part of the country.
