Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and ambitious Assistant Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. The George and Dragon has proudly returned to its original name, serving the local community of Wanstead with a refined food and drink experience. Our pub menu features expertly crafted British dishes, alongside excellent wines, real ales, and exciting cocktails. The Role

As Assistant Manager you will support the General Manager in all aspects of running the venue as if it were your own business. Be business savvy and demonstrate great commercial understanding. Your team will look up to you; it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction. This role would also suit an aspiring Supervisor looking for their first Assistant Manager position as you will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.

  • Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you

  • Must have minimum 1 years’ experience as a manager depending on the property being looked at
  • Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable
  • Superb customer & floor service skills
  • An entrepreneurial flair
  • Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
