As part of our rapid expansion, we’re looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our growing in-house finance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking ownership of day-to-day transactional tasks, including end-of-month payroll.
  • Daily bookkeeping across the business.
  • Processing purchase invoices, employee expenses and supplier payments.
  • Carry out bank postings and reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Support credit control and cashflow management where required.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries.
  • Assist with the preparation of management information and ad hoc finance reporting.
  • Help develop and document payroll processes with the longer-term aim of bringing more payroll activity in-house.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant or similar role.
  • Strong bookkeeping and transactional finance experience.
  • Good understanding of reconciliations, purchase ledger, sales ledger and month-end processes.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Confidence using Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work independently while also collaborating well with colleagues across the business.
  • Professional, reliable and proactive approach.
  • Being AAT-qualified, or studying for accreditation, is desired but not essential.
