Senior Social Media Manager / Social Media Lead (Agency) in Altrincham

The Genius Group is a fast-growing performance marketing agency group. We’re hiring a Senior Social Media Manager / Social Media Lead to build and own our social media function, managing multi‑platform social media strategies for agency clients across B2B and B2C.

Initially, you’ll work independently, owning delivery end‑to‑end. As the function grows, you’ll play a key role in shaping, hiring, and leading a social media team.

Responsibilities

• Build, own, and deliver the social media function within the agency
• Manage Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn for multiple clients
• Deliver B2B and B2C social media strategies and campaigns
• Manage multiple projects and accounts simultaneously
• Work closely with creative, paid media, and account management teams
• Plan, schedule, and report on social media activity
• Self‑manage workload, priorities, and deadlines
• Establish processes, standards, and best practices for social media delivery
• Prepare to hire, mentor, and lead a social media team as the function scales

Requirements

• 6+ years’ experience in Social Media Management or Social Media Marketing
• Agency experience required
• Proven experience managing multiple client accounts and projects
• Strong background in B2B and B2C social media
• Hands‑on experience across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
• Excellent project management and time management skills
• Comfortable working autonomously and owning outcomes
• Previous management or mentoring experience (or readiness to step into leadership)
