As part of our rapid expansion, we are looking for an experienced Mid-Level Backend Developer to join our in-house development team. This is the perfect opportunity to build game-changing APIs and services, whilst working alongside an award-winning team on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript
- Write efficient database queries and manage data models using Sequelize and PostgreSQL
- Implement caching strategies with Redis to optimise performance
- Write clean, testable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
- Debug and resolve issues across the backend stack
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Familiarity and experience with PostgreSQL, Sequelize, Jest, Docker, PM2 and Redis patterns
- Experience writing tests with Jest or similar frameworks
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Key communication skills
