The Governors of The Gates Primary School seek to appoint a dedicated, hard-working & energetic Site Manager to support the School Business Manager in managing the security, maintenance and cleaning of all of the school premises. Duties will include security, health & safety inspections, supervision of the site and related equipment, porterage, cleaning, maintenance, and monitoring of cleaning staff. Dealing with contractors is a large part of the role.

The Gates Primary School is a happy, exciting and busy community primary school currently catering for 280 wonderful children between the ages of three and eleven years. Our building environment and grounds are beautiful, and reflect the excellent standards of achievement and passion we have for education and the wellbeing of our staff and children. You will have experience of:

  • Basic maintenance and repair skills
  • Ability to use power tools and equipment relevant to the role
  • Awareness of Health & Safety issues

This role has an immediate start date but we will honour any notice periods that the successful candidate may have with their existing employer. The hours of work are 37 hours per week, all year round. Normal working hours will be 7.30 -11.30 am and 2.00pm until 5.30pm, although this is negotiable. Flexibility to support the occasional school events and some weekend work will be required. The salary is £27,269-£30,060. Grade E.
