The CNC Supervisor/CNC Cell Leader will oversee the smooth running of a busy CNC production cell. Responsibilities include supervising and supporting CNC operators, planning workloads, leading daily briefings, and ensuring seamless shift handovers. You will drive efficiency, maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S, and apply Lean principles to streamline processes. The role also involves supporting operator training and fostering a safety-conscious culture, working closely with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is always operational.
Responsibilities:- Supervise CNC Operators on fixed Day or Night shifts in Coventry.
- Plan workloads and lead daily briefings; ensure shift handovers are seamless.
- Drive efficiency and apply Lean principles to streamline processes.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S.
- Support operator training and foster a safety-conscious culture.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is operational.
- Fixed Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00, ~£35K + OT
- Fixed Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00–07:00, ~£38K + OT
- Previous experience in a CNC machining environment with proven leadership or supervisory skills.
- Solid technical understanding of CNC operations, tooling, and Lean manufacturing techniques.
- Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Experience in process improvements and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Competitive salary of ~£35,000 on a fixed day shift (Mon-Fri) or ~£38,000 on a fixed night shift (Sun-Thu).
