The Garlic Farm in Newchurch is a popular Island food business with a shop, restaurant, holiday accommodation and active ecommerce and wholesale departments, selling garlic products to customers all over the UK. Our team is friendly, welcoming, committed, and hard-working.

Contract Type: Permanent up to 24hrs per week, increasing during busy periods.

The Garlic Farm is growing, and we are now looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our Sales and Customer Service Team, within our office, just a short distance from The Garlic Farm’s main site. The successful candidate will be required to have a flexible approach and be enthusiastic to learn since this job will cover many distinct tasks, including sales calls to existing and prospective customers.

This role is all about you being on hand to support our existing team and customers. Therefore, we are looking for a customer focused individual who can handle a range of administration and sales tasks as well as various customer enquiries with a methodical, calm, and friendly approach, always making it a pleasure for people to contact the office.

This opening is ideal for an all-rounder who will need to be happy to pitch in with the rest of the team and show flexibility to undertake any other duties or responsibilities as required.

Skills and Experience
  • Must have confident phone manner
  • Experience in Sales an advantage
  • Excellent I.T. skills, and be able to learn and pick-up new systems quickly
  • Be competent using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge Sage50 Accounts an advantage
  • Proactive, self-motivated and disciplined
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritise different types of work
  • Be able to maintain a calm and flexible attitude to work
  • Be able to remain calm under high pressure

Hours for this position will range and are likely to be up to 24 hours per week, your standard working days/hours will usually be between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with the possibility of additional hours during our busier periods.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to our location not being on a public transport route, having your own transport will be essential for this position.
