Gap Construction are proud to be working with a well established, family run building contractor based in Cambridgeshire, who are looking to recruit an experienced Carpenter to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a fantastic reputation for delivering high quality domestic renovations, commercial projects and planned maintenance works.

With an in house joinery workshop and a varied workload, no two weeks are the same.

  • Performance Objectives
  • Carry out first and second fix carpentry across domestic and commercial projects.
  • Install doors, staircases, windows and bespoke joinery to a high standard.
  • Complete renovation, refurbishment and planned maintenance works.
  • Work from technical drawings and resolve site issues where required.
  • Maintain excellent standards of workmanship, ensuring every project is completed with attention to detail.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and clients to deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a first and second fix Carpenter.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a close knit team.
  • Takes pride in producing high quality workmanship with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience within both domestic and commercial environments is advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3, CSCS Gold Card, and experience installing bespoke joinery would be beneficial.
