This is a contract, on-site role based across the central belt of Scotland for a Freelance Camera Operator. The role involves operating cameras for live sports events, setting up and managing lighting for broadcasts, and collaborating with the production team to achieve high-quality video output. The Camera Operator will also assist in pre-event preparations and ensure that all captured footage adheres to professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Camera Operation, including live event filming
  • Knowledge and experience in Lighting techniques to enhance video quality
  • Skills in Video and TV Production, including pre-and post-production workflows
  • Strong understanding of technical aspects and maintenance of camera equipment
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in a fast-paced sports environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Familiarity with semi-professional sports and a passion for showcasing unique sports stories
  • Relevant experience in sports production and media is a plus
