I'm looking for someone to join my Front of House Operations team.

This isn't your typical front-of-house role. I want someone who enjoys meeting people, keeping things organised and getting involved in all aspects of the business. You'll be working across The Gallery, Munchy's Café and Manchester Recording Studios, helping me manage bookings, look after clients, organise events and keep everything running smoothly.

Some days you'll be coordinating an event; others you'll be welcoming clients, helping in the café or running a bar. I need someone who is proactive, reliable and happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved wherever they're needed.

There's plenty of opportunity to learn, take on responsibility and develop your skills across hospitality, events and business operations.

3. Who You'll Be Working With

The Galleryprovides professional workspace, offices, meeting rooms and event spaces.

Munchy's Caféoperates within The Gallery, serving food and drinks to our tenants, visitors and customers.

Manchester Recording Studiosprovides recording facilities and creative spaces for artists and clients.

You'll work across all three businesses, getting to know our clients, supporting our teams and helping deliver a great experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

  • Monitoring stock and maintaining food hygiene standards.

Coordinating Events

  • Responding to event enquiries and managing bookings.
  • Speaking with clients to understand what they need.

  • Helping events run smoothly from start to finish.

  • Managing bookings, calendars, emails and administrative tasks.
  • Keeping records accurate and up to date.
  • Communicating with clients and colleagues to keep things moving.
  • Spotting problems before they arise and finding practical solutions.
  • Looking for ways to improve how we work and the experience we offer.

5. Who I'm Looking For

I'm looking for someone who is friendly, organised and confident dealing with people. You don't need to know everything already, but you do need to be willing to learn, use your initiative and take responsibility for your work.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good organisation and time management.
  • Confidence speaking with clients and handling enquiries.
  • Comfortable using computers, email and basic administrative systems.
  • Able to manage different tasks and priorities.
  • Flexible and happy to work across all three businesses.
  • Experience managing bookings or customer enquiries.
  • Experience helping organise or run events.
  • Familiarity with cash handling, stock control or booking systems.

6. Training and Development

I'll provide training on our venues, booking systems, hospitality procedures, event coordination and relevant health and safety requirements.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn how different parts of the business operate, build relationships with clients and develop skills in events, operations and venue management.

7. Working Hours

The usual working pattern is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Some evening and weekend work will be required to support events and bookings.

You'll be successful in this role if you handle bookings and enquiries accurately, help deliver well-run events, work reliably and independently, and become a valued part of the team.
