  • To actively support the inclusion of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in various play, leisure, and recreational activities in the Oxfordshire area.

  • Contribute positively to providing safe, creative, and stimulating play activities to meet the needs of children and young people aged between 5 and 18.

  • Short Breaks is a social care-funded provision that provides after-school and holiday clubs for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and those unable to access mainstream provision.

  • To meet the individual needs of all the children attending and to help provide a warm and caring environment

  • To be a role model for our children and young people, and colleagues.

  • To provide and encourage safe, creative, and appropriate play opportunities for various play needs.

  • To ensure that all activities are inclusive for all children to take part in, offering a high-quality, inclusive environment which meets the needs of all children, regardless of culture, religion, or physical or emotional development.

  • A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training opportunities.

  • Creativity to devise new ideas and engage service users in activities.

  • Excellent communication skills with service users, colleagues, and parent/carers.
