Experienced Chef/Cook required for a busy riverside pub. The ideal applicant will be able to assist in the preparation and cooking of food in a busy kitchen, manage their time effectively, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean, hygienic and organized as part of a small team. Ability to work under pressure, to a high standard and alongside passionate colleagues is essential.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking food to a high standard
- Ensuring that work is performed to a high level of hygiene
- Leaving work areas clean and tidy at the end of shifts
- Assisting other chefs with the smooth running of the kitchen and services
Food Safety Qualifications an advantage, but training can be given. 5 out of 7 days, this will include weekends and evenings (approx. 35 - 45 hours but this can vary in busy and quiet seasons). Pay negotiable depending on experience. Relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or similar qualification) would be preferable, but relevant experience will be considered. This is a permanent position, with an immediate start.
