We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Design Guild Mark Manager to lead the delivery and development of one of the UK’s most respected design awards. The Design Guild Mark, awarded by The Furniture Makers' Company, recognises excellence in British industrial design across furniture, lighting, and interior products. In this part-time role, you will take ownership of the full awards lifecycle - ensuring its continued success, integrity, and growth. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for design and experience in project or programme management, looking for a flexible (one day per week), impactful role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full Design Guild Mark process, from applications to judging and awards ceremony
  • Act as the main point of contact for applicants, judges, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate judging days and support the recruitment of expert judging panels
  • Maintain accurate records of applicants, award winners, and archives
  • Ensure fairness, transparency, and consistency throughout the judging process
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Digital teams to promote the award
  • Develop campaigns to increase awareness, entries, and prestige
  • Support award winners in maximising their recognition
  • Monitor budgets, income from applications, and expenditure
  • Explore sponsorships, partnerships, and income-generating opportunities

About You

You will be an organised and detail-oriented professional who thrives on managing projects independently. We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in project, programme, or awards management
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
  • The ability to prioritise and work independently with limited time
  • Good written English, numeracy, and IT skills (MS Office)
