The Fundraising Partnership, representing Leeds Hospitals Charity, are looking for high-quality fundraisers to add to our existing team who want to work on-site in the Leeds Hospitals. Recruiting donors to the Leeds Hospitals Charity Lottery and Regular Giving programmes, our team of dedicated fundraising ambassadors not only have the chance to represent this amazing much-loved charity, they are able to do so on Hospital premises. Working at sites such as LGI, St James, Chapel Allerton and Seacroft, our fundraisers have a warm, safe and guaranteed venue where they can engage with visitors to the hospital who are already engaged with the cause.

The Role: Engaging with visitors to the hospitals, we expect our fundraisers to work to the highest standards and with heightened sensitivity. You might act as a Welcome Host with visitors on their way into the hospital, helping guide people to reception, or sometimes offering directions, but on the way out of the hospital, these same people will be willing to stop and talk about the benefits of the charity and how they can help the hospital.

The Charity: The Leeds Hospitals Charity supports Leeds Teaching Hospitals to make a real difference for patients, families and staff. They champion, support and give thanks to the NHS by funding life-saving equipment, treatments and research into rare diseases - whatever will make the biggest impact to the people who need it most.

The Venues: Working on-site in LGI, St James, Chapel Allerton and Seacroft Hospital is a unique proposition as a venue fundraiser is guaranteed their venue. No double bookings, no chance of being asked to leave and backing from the wider hospital staff and management.

Who are we looking for? You may have worked in sales previously, whether that is Avon, Energy Sales, Catalogue Sales, Direct Sales, Door-to-Door Sales, Field Sales, Broadband Sales or as a Brand Ambassador - if this is the case, we would love to hear from you. Or you might be brand new to this and simply looking for a job that gives back to your local community. Either way, our fundraisers come from all kinds of backgrounds including financial services, teaching, management, retail and many more. Most of our best people are just great conversationalists who in day-to-day life end up talking with people when walking the dog or in a queue.

We are an ethical employer, who are committed to setting new standards and changing the face of face-to-face fundraising. We pride ourselves on putting the charity and their donors first and we realise that our company only succeeds when our fundraisers succeed. As such we respect, value and care for our employees. We only look to recruit quality, long-term donors when the charity benefits and as a by-product, we benefit. We are proud of the work we do. We are proud of the values we have. We are proud of our fundraisers.

Job requirements and details: You will be ethical and take pride in doing a job the right way. You need interpersonal skills, to be a good listener and be able to communicate effectively; however, you don’t need to be really persuasive or great at making speeches as this isn’t a typical sales job. Most of all you need to have real integrity and self-motivation. We employ good people, treat them well and we trust our people to work to high standards. All types of people from all sorts of backgrounds can be successful at this job. It is an hourly paid role, enhanced by a commission with full-time and part-time options. You need to be reasonably mobile and physically fit and active, but we can train you in all other parts of the job. There are many other benefits to this role. This role can offer you genuine work-life balance. 3 / 4 / 5 day roles available (21 - 35 hrs). When established in the role you can be flexible with the hours you work. Compress your hours over 2 weeks to get blocks of days off. Work close to home. Comprehensive remote home study training, followed by ongoing support when in the role. Guaranteed hourly rate with bonus for exceeding targets. 20 days holiday with an extra day off on your birthday. Time off over Christmas. Mileage and parking paid. Autonomy to manage your own working day, yet support when you need it.

How you can make a difference: A typical fundraiser will raise more than £400,000 for the charity every year that they work for. So you would be doing a job where after 5 years of work, through your professionalism, integrity, and hard work you could raise more than £2 million for charities that deal, quite literally, in matters of life and death. People of all backgrounds and ages can be successful at this. You may have worked in sales previously, whether that is Avon, utilities, catalogues, credit cards or for charities.
