We are looking for a dedicated individual to work as a face‑to‑face fundraiser on behalf of Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW). The role involves engaging local residents, discussing the hospice\’s mission, and encouraging them to become recurring supporters through the Childrens Hospice South West Lottery programme.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct home visits and road‑to‑door canvassing to identify potential donors.
- Explain CHSW’s services and mission to potential supporters.
- Encourage sign‑ups for the regular lottery contribution programme.
- Bear in mind local community developers to nurture long‑term supporter relationships.
- Achieve quarterly fundraising targets.
- Provide accurate data entry and progress reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Mobile, physically fit, and capable of carrying out a physically demanding role.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills; a good listener and conversationalist.
- Integrity and strong self‑motivation, combined with a willingness to be trained.
- Previous experience in sales, fundraising, or a related community role is advantageous but not essential.
- A valid UK driver’s licence and access to a car for local travel.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, with hours typically between 9 am‑7 pm Monday‑Friday and 10 am‑3 pm Saturday.
