Working closely with our People Operations Manager and wider People & Culture team, you'll manage employee relations cases, coach managers and make sure our processes and documentation are handled accurately, consistently and with care.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an organised and people-focused HR professional with hands-on employee relations experience who wants to continue developing within a supportive, practical and fast-paced People & Culture team.

What You'll Be Doing

As People Co-ordinator, you'll provide practical first-line People & Culture support to restaurant managers and teams, with a particular focus on employee relations.

You'll:

  • Coach and support managers through people matters, helping them approach conversations and processes confidently and fairly.
  • Co-ordinate case documentation, including invitations, letters, meeting notes, outcomes and case records.
  • Track employee relations cases, key dates and follow-up actions to keep matters moving.
  • Provide first-line guidance on routine People & Culture questions and know when to involve a more experienced colleague.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, ensuring cases are handled consistently and with care.
  • Support managers with absence, probation, performance, conduct and other day-to-day people processes.
  • Identify recurring employee relations themes, risks and opportunities for additional manager support.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can balance practical employee relations knowledge with strong organisation, sound judgement and a genuinely people-focused approach.

  • Experience working in hospitality, retail or another fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

  • The confidence to coach and support managers through people processes and difficult conversations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, accurate documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing cases, priorities and deadlines.
  • Sound judgement, with the confidence to resolve appropriate matters independently and escalation when required.
  • A proactive approach, taking ownership and following through on actions without needing close supervision.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information professionally and confidentially.

Bonus Points For

  • A CIPD qualification or currently working towards one.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters across multiple restaurant, hospitality or retail locations.
  • Experience coaching operational managers through absence, performance, conduct and grievance processes.
  • Experience maintaining employee relations trackers and identifying recurring trends or risks.

Why Join Franco Manca?

We're proud of our culture, our people and the quality of what we do. You'll join a People & Culture team that stays close to our restaurants, managers and teams rather than sitting far away from the action.

You'll have the opportunity to manage your own employee relations cases, learn from experienced People & Culture colleagues and build your knowledge across people processes, manager coaching and wider projects as the business continues to evolve.

We're proud to be an equal opportunities employer and believe our differences make us stronger. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and recruit based on skills, experience and potential. If you need any adjustments during the application or interview process, just let us know. We'll do everything we can to support you.
