We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics Technical Delivery Lead for a 4–6 month interim assignment to take hands-on ownership of the technical delivery of a Dynamics environment. This role is delivery-focused rather than PMO-led. You will be actively involved in solution design, configuration oversight, integrations, data migration and go-live readiness, acting as the technical authority for Dynamics while ensuring delivery milestones are met. You will work closely with the team and execs in the business and have strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics to deliver this project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the hands-on technical delivery of Microsoft Dynamics (D365)
- Configure and customise Microsoft Dynamics and ensure delivery of the project and embedding new ways of working are in place.
- Be the technical lead for Dynamics-related issues.
- Review and assure technical outputs from developers and system integrators
- Support testing, deployment and cutover activities
- Ensure technical documentation and knowledge transfer into BAU
Requirements
- Strong hands-on technical experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics (D365)
- Proven background in technical delivery roles (e.g. Technical Lead, Solution Lead, Senior Consultant)
- Deep understanding of Dynamics architecture, data model and integrations
- Experience with data migration, environments and release management
- Comfortable working directly in the system and with delivery teams
- Able to operate autonomously in an interim, outcomes-driven role
- Experience with D365 Finance, Supply Chain, CRM or Customer Engagement
- Exposure to Power Platform, Azure, Logic Apps or Dataverse
- Previous work in short-term turnaround or recovery assignments
- Experience working alongside third-party implementation partners
Why This Role?
- A genuinely hands-on Dynamics delivery role, not a reporting-heavy PM position
- Clear technical outcomes over a short, focused engagement
- Authority to make decisions and unblock delivery
This role is a permanent role with a salary range at £45,000 to £55,000 and on a hybrid 4 days in the office 1 day at home basis. The role requires on site presence for 4 days per week with Fridays working from home.
