We are looking for the perfect candidate to support our established and ambitious UK business, The Avocado Company.
Operating out of The Fresh Produce Centre, we are dedicated to the sourcing and supply of one the fastest growing and most popular products in today's fresh produce market.
With grower partners in key locations around the world, we ensure a seamless 52 week supply of avocados to customers in retail, wholesale and foodservice both in the UK and further afield.

We have an opportunity for you to join our team in Paddock Wood as a Buying Administrator.
With the key purpose being the creation & maintenance of accurate consignment details in a timely manner, the role requires good administration, data entry and organisational skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with freight forwarding agents and internal stakeholders.
Working directly with our buying managers, this would present an excellent introduction to the procurement function or first step into a commercial role.
As a Buying Administrator with us, your role will include
- Purchase Order creation with high accuracy levels in data entry.
- Collating all supplier paperwork.
- Create/Amend inbound deliveries.
- Update and maintain all estimated costs.
- Create advances within system for Procurement team to manage grower cash flows.
- Chase Estimated Times of Arrivals and update relevant departments.
Our perfect Buying Administrator would have
- A good level of numeracy.
- Good IT Skills including working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications.
- Intermediate Excel knowledge is essential with the ability to use simple formulas.
- Good people and communication skills (Good spoken & written English essential).
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised with good time management skills.
- Experience of working with SAP (desirable but not essential) or similar ERP system.
- To be assertive and someone who isn’t afraid to challenge
- FMCG background (desirable but not essential).
The hours you would work
- 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5pm.
