Location: Hull

Hours: 7:30 – 4:30 Mon-Thurs/ 7:30- 12:30 Fri (Optional overtime when available)

Pay rate: Β£14.46ph (OT paid at time and a half)

Paid Weekly.

I am proud to be working on behalf of a small, friendly company in Hull who are experts in sheet metal fabrication and finishing. They provide customers with a β€˜one-stop-shop’ supporting them in the design of their products, fabrication and finishing all to a high-quality standard.

We are looking for a hard-working individual with experience to operate press brakes, to bend and shape metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and operate a press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal plates and sheets.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders to understand job requirements.

Select the correct tooling (punches and dies) and ensure they are properly aligned.

Adjust machine settings based on specifications and production requirements.

Monitor the machine during operation to ensure precision and identify any issues.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment to keep it in optimal working order.

Ensuring the final product meets high-quality standards.

Ensure all safety protocols are followed to prevent accidents and injury.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Experience operating a press brake or similar machinery.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications is essential.

Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and machine tools.

Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.

Good communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with colleagues and supervisors.

Dexterity and the ability to work with power tools and heavy machinery.

Physical ability to lift and move metal sheets.

Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise working to fixed deadlines.
