Hours: 7:30 – 4:30 Mon-Thurs/ 7:30- 12:30 Fri (Optional overtime available)
Salary: £NMW (OT paid at time and a half)
I am proud to be working on behalf of a small, friendly company in Hull who are experts in sheet metal fabrication and finishing. They provide customers with a ‘one-stop-shop’ supporting them in the design of their products, fabrication and finishing all to a high-quality standard.
We are looking for a hard-working individual to join their team as a General Operative to perform various duties to support production, assembly and overall factory operations. This may include operating machinery, product assembly, quality control checks and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Machine Operation - Operating machinery and equipment as assigned, following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Quality Control - Inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards, reporting any defects.
- Material Handling - Moving and storing raw materials and finished goods.
- Cleaning and Maintenance - Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace, cleaning equipment and reporting maintenance issues.
- Assisting Other Team Members - Providing support and assistance to other colleagues as required, including learning new tasks.
- Following Instructions - Adhering to company policies and procedures and following instructions from supervisors.
- Safety - Adhering to health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate PPE and reporting hazards.
What you will need:
- You will need to be physically fit as there may be some heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Reliable and punctual.
- A good attitude towards work.
- No experience necessary – Full training will be provided.
