About Freed Distribution
Freed Distribution Limited is a fast-growing UK distribution business focused on premium non-alcoholic drinks. We work with leading global producers and bring a highly curated portfolio to the UK market, combining commercial discipline with a strong brand‑led approach. We are building a high-performance team and are now looking for a detail‑oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our financial operations as we scale.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day financial administration of the business, working closely with our external accountants and internal team to ensure accurate, timely and compliant financial records. This is a key role with real visibility across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
- Assist with payroll coordination (in conjunction with external provider)
- VAT returns preparation and submission support
- Support monthly management accounts preparation
- Liaise with external accountants (Summers Morgan) and advisors
- Maintain financial documentation and compliance records
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as the business grows
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting practices
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organised, proactive and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a growing, fast‑paced environment
Desirable
- Experience in FMCG, distribution or startup environments
- Familiarity with payroll and pension processes in the UK
- AAT qualified (or working towards)
