About us…
The Francis Crick Institute is Europe’s largest biomedical research institute under one roof. Our world-class scientists and staff collaborate on vital research to help prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, infectious diseases and neurodegenerative conditions.
The Crick is a place for collaboration, innovation and exploration across many disciplines. A space where the brightest minds can pursue big and bold ideas and discover answers to crucial scientific questions. We support them in a dynamic environment which fosters excellence with state-of-the-art infrastructure, cutting-edge facilities, and a creative and curious culture. We’ve removed traditional boundaries of departments, divisions and disciplines and instead have an open approach that supports every researcher. This gives us the freedom to collaborate and carry out high-quality, pioneering research. Creating a space for discovery without boundaries helps us to turn our science into benefits for human health and the economy.
About the role…
As a world-renowned research institute, the Crick attracts exceptional researchers and professionals from across the globe. To ensure a smooth transition for colleagues relocating to London or the UK, we’re committed to providing accessible, reliable, and people-focused accommodation support, both for short-term stays and longer-term housing needs.
We are now looking for a proactive and personable Accommodation and Tenancy Services Advisor to support new and existing Crick employees in finding suitable accommodation across London and surrounding areas. This role is central to delivering our accommodation strategy, ensuring colleagues have access to safe, convenient, and cost-effective housing options that meet their individual needs.
You’ll offer tailored advice on a range of housing options, working closely with landlords and property partners to secure preferential terms and maintain strong, reliable relationships. You\’ll also be responsible for identifying new accommodation providers, expanding our partner network, and keeping up to date with local rental market trends to ensure our support remains relevant and responsive.
In addition to external engagement, you’ll foster an internal community by developing communication channels that allow colleagues to share property listings, room-share opportunities, and practical advice. You will play a key role in shaping a supportive, well-informed environment that helps staff settle into life at the Crick and in London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your deep understanding of the London housing market while building meaningful relationships both inside and outside the organisation. If you’re an excellent communicator, enjoy working independently, and thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced setting, we’d love to hear from you.
You will bring…
- Strong knowledge of London’s rental market and surrounding commuter areas (eg e.g., Essex, Kent, Surrey).*
- Experience in real estate, relocation services, or property search.*
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, particularly with landlords and agents.*
- The ability to communicate empathetically and clearly with a diverse staff and student population.*
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with experience planning and delivering projects, events, or similar initiatives.*
- Experience writing clear, accessible communications and managing online content.
- A flexible, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
