Workday Financials will be at the heart of the role, alongside systems including Adaptive Planning, Worktribe, Power BI and Excel. You will take ownership of day-to-day systems issues, troubleshoot complex problems and deliver system enhancements and projects that improve how our teams work. You will also help shape the longer-term development of our finance systems roadmap. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines a strong finance background with systems expertise, project management experience and a passion for making processes work better.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading and supporting finance systems projects, enhancements and implementations.
  • Managing system configuration, business processes, reporting, security and standing data.
  • Supporting the day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of Workday Financials.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system, integration and user issues.
  • Supporting testing for upgrades, integrations and systems changes.
  • Working with Finance teams to improve processes, documentation and user guidance.
  • Providing training and support to Finance colleagues and the wider Crick community.
  • Collaborating across Finance, People Systems, IT and external system partners to deliver effective solutions.

Essential criteria:

  • A strong finance background, gained through professional qualification, part-qualification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Current experience administering an ERP/accounting system, such as Workday Financials.
  • Strong experience managing projects within a finance systems or technology environment.
  • Experience configuring and supporting business processes, reporting, security and system governance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex systems issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of priorities.
  • Recognised Workday Financials qualifications.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or other financial planning and reporting technologies.
