Working within this fast-paced role you will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all HR queries across our 200+ store estate, Head Office and also at Per-Scent. You will provide administration support with all HR and Payroll processes and procedures whilst coordinating the flow of data to ensure an effective on-boarding and off-boarding process. Responsibilities
- Understand the HR processes, Company policies & procedures and systems in which you will be working so that you can offer suitable administration support within the business.
- Provide support to the recruitment, offer and on boarding processes and ensure all Contracts of Employment are issued in a timely manner.
- Dealing effectively and professionally with 1st line HR and recruitment queries over the phone, via email or face to face.
- Support with the next stages of implementation for the HR and Payroll system.
- Work with teams across the business to improve onboarding process to support the retention of team members.
- Tracking probationary periods and proactively supporting managers on process.
- Ensuring an effective leavers process.
- Conduct exit interviews as appropriate and provide analysis of the feedback.
- Co-ordination of incoming and outgoing references.
- Administering HR communications through a range of media.
- Ensure new starters, amendments and leavers are processed with payroll.
- Accurately maintaining both paper based and electronic employee files.
- Support the HR system development e.g. integrating Shopworks and People XD.
- HR Casework – Supporting in the administration of case management.
- Co-ordination and management of the maternity and paternity process.
- Assist HR Advisor with note taking, employee inductions and general HR administration.
- Any other duties as reasonably required.
Experience and Skills
- Experience working within a busy HR team where the role is varied and complex would be a considerable advantage, particularly supporting recruitment, payroll, case work and on/off boarding processes.
- Understanding processes and writing procedures.
- Experience working within a HR system would be advantageous.
- It is of particular importance that you can manage your workload, be proactive and like achieving results both personally but also for the benefit of the team and the business.
- You enjoy working as part of a team, making decisions which contribute to the businesses success.
- You possess the ability to be confidential, treat issues with sensitivity and discretion.
- You enjoy ensuring that your records and data are maintained and correct and have strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, internet and social media platforms).
- Your style will fit well with the company if you are used to being flexible, able to prioritise and manage relationships.
