A bit about us Established in 1994, The Fragrance Shop is the UKs leading independent fragrance retailer. Our aim is to make mainstream and luxury fragrances affordable and accessible to all. We showcase more than 130 fragrance brands in over 220 stores throughout the UK and online at www.thefragranceshop.co.uk. We are expanding and are looking for a Merchandiser to join the team and be part of a growing and vibrant brand.

The role Reporting to the Buyer and Merchandiser, The Buying & Merchandising Assistant will provide support for the Buying and Merchandising teams, to ensure timely and effective performance. This is a great opportunity to embed yourself within the Buying & Merchandising Department and develop a strong understanding of the functions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Set up and maintain products in the system
  • Produce weekly reports
  • Price changes & promotional set up for stores and online
  • Produce and send reports to suppliers
  • Chase suppliers for new line forms, images and deliveries
  • Produce and maintain the GWP file
  • Maintain the New Launch spreadsheet and critical paths
  • Support the Merchandising Team in managing stock levels and allocations to stores, ensuring effective and appropriate allocation of SKU’s to the correct distribution to maximise sales and availability.
  • Support the set up and maintenance of product information and parameter on the system, to ensure smooth and effective running of replenishment to stores.
  • Responding to any store queries with regards to stock, testers or newness launches.
  • Raising, sending and logging Purchase Orders.
  • Management of the PO Orderbook, including chasing PO’s in line with expected delivery date and product launches.

  • Highly organised and have the ability to prioritise.
  • Good communication skills (to be able to communicate effectively both internally and externally).
  • Knowledge of products and market.
  • Knowledge of retail and/or buying.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
