As we enter a major phase of digital growth — including the launch of a brand-new Shopify site and international E-commerce expansion — we’re looking for a commercially sharp, data-driven E-commerce Manager to help shape the future of our online business.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Vibrant, modern HQ in Trafford Park with free parking and excellent transport links
  • Free onsite gym — perfect for pre- or post-work workouts
  • Generous staff discounts on a huge range of fragrances
  • Collaborative and fast-paced culture with space to own and drive digital initiatives
  • Real career progression and development within a growing E-commerce function

The Role

This is a high-impact role in our digital team, responsible for E-commerce trading, customer experience, and digital innovation. You’ll manage the day-to-day performance of our E-commerce site and app — while playing a key role in launching our new Shopify site and international E-commerce presence from a trading and merchandising perspective. You’ll also manage a team of two E-commerce Executives and work closely with both internal teams and external brand suppliers — ensuring online campaigns, content, and product launches are delivered with commercial and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Website & Platform Management
    • Manage the daily performance and trading of our ecommerce site
    • Play a key role in launching the new Shopify platform — contributing to setup, structure, merchandising and onsite journey
    • Oversee content updates, campaigns and promotional activity to support brand and sales goals
    • Maintain accuracy of product data, pricing, and availability across the site
  • Trading & Performance
    • Own and execute the ecommerce trading calendar to deliver against KPIs — revenue, AOV, CVR, margin
    • Use data tools (GA4, Shopify Analytics, Looker Studio) to make insight-led decisions
    • Share brand and category performance reports with internal and external stakeholders
    • Support the setup and execution of our international ecommerce rollout
    • Manage app content, journeys and promotional execution
    • Partner with CRM to drive app engagement, loyalty, and lifecycle value
    • Monitor app analytics and implement features to improve retention and conversion
  • Customer Experience & Innovation
    • Drive continuous improvement of the onsite journey — optimising product presentation, navigation and storytelling
    • Champion new fulfilment options and commercial innovations (e.g. same-day delivery, marketplaces)
    • Ensure the ecommerce experience reflects The Fragrance Shop’s brand tone and customer expectations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Buying & Merchandising: Align on assortment, pricing, stock availability and brand strategy
    • Marketing & CRM: Work closely to activate campaigns, promotions, and content across all customer touchpoints
    • Tech & Product: Brief and test onsite improvements; ensure smooth site functionality and performance
    • Warehouse & Operations: Collaborate to plan for order volumes, fulfilment innovations, and seasonal peaks
    • Brand Suppliers: Act as a key point of contact for brand partners — coordinating campaigns, content, and promotions on a daily basis
  • Leadership
    • Manage and develop a team of two E-commerce Executives — offering coaching, direction, and hands-on support
    • Lead team trading reviews and ensure alignment on performance targets and campaign execution
    • Be a core stakeholder in E-commerce strategy — contributing ideas, testing new approaches, and helping set the long-term vision

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong E-commerce trading experience — ideally in a retail or consumer product environment
  • Hands-on expertise with Shopify — including site trading, content management, and contributing to builds or replatforming projects
  • Commercial mindset with experience delivering results across AOV, CVR, margin, bounce rate, and revenue
  • Data-literate and confident using tools like GA4, Looker Studio and Shopify Analytics
  • Proven ability to work across teams and manage external partners or suppliers
  • People leadership experience, with a desire to coach and develop team members
  • Detail-oriented, highly organised, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
