My client is looking to recruit a stand-alone Site Manager to run a section of groundwork’s with the appointed subcontractors on this £66 million new build residential project in Dorset during the final stages of the job starting ASAP. My client is a high-rise apartment block specialist developer and the scheme is drawing to its end in the next 6 months; we are now looking for an experienced Construction Manager to deal with external works / groundwork’s to push the job on and get it completed.
Key Responsibilities
- The focus of the role will be to coordinate the sub-contractor teams and manage both the logistics and quality of works as well as the health and safety on all of the groundwork’s packages, including drainage, services, and landscaping across the site.
- Candidates must have worked for a main contractor in the past and be able to display a hands-on approach, be used to running teams both on site and producing the 2-week look-ahead RAMS, and updating the programme in weekly and daily progress meetings with the team and the Project Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must hold SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certificates and have worked on major projects for the main contractor looking after groundwork’s packages in the past.
- Candidates must be from either an HNC / ONC / degree-qualified background or a trades background with a solid work history as a site manager.
