Our client urgently requires Warehouse Operatives / Forklift Drivers for a local company based in Peterborough. Hours are rotating shifts Monday to Friday. Rate of pay is £13.38 per hour + £47.00 per week freezer supplement. It is a 37.50 hours per week. Working hours must be flexible as shift changes and weekend working is required during busy periods.

Responsibilities:
- Collate and despatch orders to customer requirements with high level of accuracy.
- Check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
- Accurately record stock movements.
- Timely and accurate booking in of stock.
- Adhere to the company's Health, Safety and Hygiene Policies.
- Pick customer orders as per company procedures, undertaking all necessary controls, ensuring temperature disciplines, stacking, labelling and security procedures are complied with.
- High accuracy of detail when accepting inbound deliveries.
- Undertake MHE duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are carried out thoroughly.
- Assist with regular and spot stock takes as required.
- Work with colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
- Place and pick stock from the correct location to ensure traceability.
- Unload and load stock from vehicles safely and diligently.
- Comply with quarantine procedures and non-conformance procedures as required.
- Comply with all Company procedures ensuring that all paperwork associated with the role is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow all SOPs, BRC and hygiene standards.
- Follow the requirements of the Standard Operating Procedures for the safe and legal handling of food.
- Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, ensuring all company safety and quality systems are adhered to.
- Raise concerns and report any incidents to your manager.
- Ensure all waste is segregated and disposed of in line with the company processes, recycling wherever possible.
- Carry out any other reasonable management instruction to the expected standards which ultimately supports the business.
Qualifications:
- Operational warehouse experience
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation
- Strong communication skills, including verbal and written
- Basic computer skills
- A 'Can do' attitude and proactive approach
- Effective team player
- Good numeracy skills
- Be physically active due to the nature of the role, dealing with heavy goods
- Comfortable working in a temperature up to -25 degrees Celsius
- High level of attention to detail
