Foundry Lane Primary School is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team. This exciting role supports high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working with teachers to plan, organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes. The position requires flexibility, teamwork and a proactive approach. You will be part of a supportive school environment where your contribution truly matters.
Responsibilities
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task.
- Deliver pre-set lessons and provide clear instructions to support learning.
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Support pupils with varied learning needs, including SEN.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- NVQ 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Level 2 qualifications in maths/numeracy and English/literacy.
- Experience working with students in a formal setting.
- Experience of delivering whole class teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage behaviour calmly and confidently.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
- Commitment to supporting pupils' learning and development.
