Overview
We are looking for people to provide a stable, loving home for vulnerable children in the Midlands (including Birmingham) as well as in Northwest England and across Yorkshire.

Are you compassionate, patient, and ready to transform a child’s life? At The Foster Care Charity, we’re looking for people who can provide a stable, loving home for children who need it most. No formal qualifications or experience are required—just a big heart and a commitment to helping children thrive. You’ll need to be aged over 21 years, live in England and have a spare bedroom in your home.
What You’ll Do
- Provide a safe, caring, and nurturing home environment for a child or young person.
- Support their emotional, educational, and social development.
- Work as part of a professional team, including social workers and other support staff.
- Attend training and support sessions to develop your skills.
- Work from home providing fostering or provide foster care alongside a full-time or part-time job.
What We Offer

- *Salary: Foster carer pay is dependent on (1) the number of children you foster and (2) how complex their needs are. We also pay for carers to take up to 14 days respite from fostering annually.
- Other benefits include: paid holiday, birthday and religious festival allowances per looked after child; up to £1000 referral bonus when someone you recommend also becomes a foster carer.
