Phase Eight are looking for a Merchandising Intern to join our team on a 12-month paid internship, starting July 2026. The Merchandising team at Phase Eight are the strategic heart of our commercial success, overseeing the entire product lifecycle. They meticulously forecast sales by analysing market data and trends, then strategically allocating product across all our retail and online channels. Collaborating closely with the Buying team, the Merchandising team bridges product creation with commercial viability, ensuring our seasonal collections resonate with our Phase Eight customer and deliver strong commercial results.
What You’ll Do: As the Merchandising Intern, you’ll gain invaluable hands‑on experience with our knowledgeable merchandising team. This role will enable you to develop skills in data analysis, collaboration and confident presentation of your insights. As the Merchandising Intern, you’ll be hands‑on with:
- Delving into data, with the support of the department's merchandiser to get to grips with best‑sellers and analyse sales figures for various product lines.
- Attend weekly meetings, providing updates on department performance and contributing to key discussions.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis to aid the wider merchandising team, turning insights into actionable recommendations.
- Assist with various tasks and projects as required, gaining exposure to the full merchandising lifecycle within a fashion retail brand.
Who You’ll Be: We are looking for a Merchandising Intern with a genuine desire to learn and grow in this space. We're looking for someone organised and proactive, ready to collaborate with our merchandising team and contribute to the department. This internship opportunity would suit a student available to undertake a 12-month paid internship in 2026/2027, starting in July 2026. You’ll need a keen eye for detail and keen to work with numbers and develop analytical skills (prior Excel experience is a plus, but not essential as we’ll cheer on your learning).
